Sterling Lions Club & Two Guys and a Truck

Volunteers: Davida Luehrs, Dwight Brooks, Mike Ryan

Sterling, Virginia (December 2, 2011) – As a child, the Lions Club provided Michael Ryan with his first pair of glasses when his parents couldn’t afford them. Years later, a sign blowing across the road caused him to stop at a Citrus sale, just like today’s event, which got him involved in the Lions Club. Now, as the Second Vice District Governor of Lions of Virginia, he gives back to the community by helping with these events.

Two Guys and a Truck also lent a hand by donating the use of a 53′ moving trailer to the Sterling Lions Club to store boxes of Indian River Ruby Red Grapefruit, Florida Navel Oranges, and Orlando Tangelos for the annual Florida Citrus Sale. All proceeds go to those in need of glasses and hearing aids, but who can’t afford them.

The Florida citrus fruit sale will be from December 2-4, 9am-5pm in the parking lot of the Dulles Town Crossing Chick-fil-A at 45440 Dulles Crossing Plaza, located off Nokes Blvd. at Route 28 in Sterling, Virginia.

Two Guys and a Truck has a New Guy!

February 23, 2011

Ownership of the highly recognized brand, Two Guys and a Truck, changed hands today as Brett Burks completed the acquisition of the Corporation’s assets and the Franchisor’s trademarks including trade names, logos, service marks, and franchise agreements.

When asked what attracted him to Two Guys and a Truck, he said, “In addition to the people, the brand has a proven track record backed by a successful franchise system. This opportunity gives folks the ability to grow their own business and take part in the multi-billion dollar Household Goods Moving & Storage Industry.”

Brett Burks

Born and raised in Herndon, Virginia, the Company’s location was appealing to Burks along with fact that he was familiar with moving. Between semesters at Virginia Tech, he worked part-time as a mover before graduating and going on to a career in financial services with Primerica, eventually rising to the position of Regional Vice President.

“We’re going to make moving fun,” he smiled, “Think Disney meets moving… it’s going to be a wonderful ride!”
